Amazon officially announced on Wednesday the launch of its latest hardware lineup: the ultra-slim Fire TV Stick HD and the stylish Ember Artline television series, both of which are now open for preorders.
The All-New, Ultra-Slim Fire TV Stick HD
Building on the legacy of the first-generation Fire TV Stick HD introduced two years ago, Amazon has engineered its thinnest streaming device to date. Launched in 2024, this new iteration serves as the definitive entry-level solution, effectively consolidating both the previous Fire TV Stick and the Fire TV Stick Lite into a single, streamlined product.
The new model boasts a profile approximately 30% slimmer than its predecessor, catering to users who prioritize a minimalist aesthetic without sacrificing power. Beyond its physical footprint, the device is reported to run 30% faster, ensuring snappier app loading times. It also integrates modern connectivity standards, including Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3.

Enhanced AI and Accessibility Features
A central component of the experience is Alexa+, Amazon’s advanced AI assistant. Currently available in the U.S., Canada, and the U.K., the assistant allows users to query information about actors, discover new content, and control smart home ecosystems via natural voice commands.
Furthermore, Amazon is rolling out an “Adaptive Display” setting. This accessibility-focused feature optimizes text, menus, and UI elements for better visibility. By scaling up smaller text and balancing artwork, the system ensures a more comfortable viewing experience. Users will be able to customize these settings in the coming months.
The Fire TV Stick HD is priced at $34.99. Preorders are live, with shipping scheduled for April 29 across Canada, Mexico, the U.S., the U.K., Japan, Australia, and New Zealand.

Ember Artline: Design-Forward Television
Amazon is also challenging the high-end display market with its new Ember Artline TVs, a direct competitor to lifestyle displays like Samsung’s The Frame. First teased at CES 2026, the series emphasizes the intersection of high-end home decor and television technology.
The series features 10 magnetic, interchangeable frames in finishes such as Walnut, Ash, Teak, Black Oak, Matte White, Midnight Blue, Fig, Pale Gold, Graphite, and Silver. Beyond the hardware, the TVs include an AI-driven “Match the Room” feature, which suggests artwork that harmonizes with the user’s interior design. Users can access over 2,000 free art pieces or sync their own images via Amazon Photos.

The Ember Artline series also integrates Alexa+ for voice-controlled search and playback. Additionally, Amazon is introducing a content-transfer feature for U.S. customers, allowing them to seamlessly move active streams between Fire TV devices—a feature debuting on Prime Video before expanding to other platforms.
Featuring a slim 1.5-inch profile, the Ember Artline TVs come in 55-inch and 65-inch variants. They utilize 4K QLED displays with support for HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. Starting at $899.99, the TVs are available for preorder now, with shipments launching April 22 in the U.S. and Canada, followed by rollouts in the U.K. and Germany.
