Amazon announced on Thursday a major expansion for Prime Video, integrating its Luna cloud gaming service directly into the streaming interface. Starting today, users in the U.S. and the U.K. can access titles such as “Hogwarts Legacy,” “EA Sports FC 26,” “Indiana Jones and the Great Circle,” “Clue,” and “Taboo” directly through their Fire TVs.
Transforming Prime Video into an Entertainment Hub
With this strategic shift, Amazon aims to position Prime Video as a comprehensive entertainment destination. The move mirrors the strategy adopted by Netflix, which has aggressively integrated party games into its platform over the past several years. Given Amazon’s existing cloud infrastructure, this integration serves as a natural evolution for the streaming service.
A Growing Library of Titles
The new gaming section features a diverse mix of third-party blockbusters and classic titles. Additionally, the library includes original content developed by Amazon’s own gaming division, such as the “Courtroom Chaos” series and the co-op card battler “Masters of the Universe: Legends Unite.”
Until now, Luna games were restricted to the service’s standalone app. This update marks the first time that gaming content is being unified with the Prime Video library of movies and TV shows.

Democratizing Gaming Access
Amazon’s primary goal is to lower the barrier to entry for gaming. By leveraging cloud technology, the company aims to eliminate the need for expensive consoles or high-end gaming PCs, making interactive entertainment as simple to access as a streaming movie.
Prime members can navigate to the new “Games” tab within the Prime Video app and begin playing immediately using a standard controller or a smartphone as a remote.
“For a lot of people, games have been harder to find than they should be,” said Jeff Gattis, general manager of gaming at Amazon. “Bringing Luna inside Prime Video allows Prime members to discover games more naturally, and if they see one they like, they click it and they’re in. That’s less time searching and more time playing great games included with their Prime membership.”
Amazon confirmed that the catalog will be updated with new titles every month. Additionally, the company plans to expand this gaming integration to more devices and international regions in the coming months.
